Limno - US: The focus of this component of the SilicaSecchiDisk is to provide an interactive search able data base of chemical, physical and morphological data on lakes, ponds and other waterbodies examined by scientists at the Freshwater Ecology Laboratory. When possible, information on and GIS-based maps of the watersheds are also provided. The data bases can be searched by geographic location, lake name and location, or by any parameter in the data base. With the geographic location option the user simply selects waterbodies from maps or from corresponding lists of lake names. The user can also submit a custom search query based on any parameter or group of parameters in the data base. All aerial images were created using Google Earth. |
